Create the perfect makeup bag.... Under $35 Dollars!
By makenasneed
Every girl should have a customized makeup case that they keep in their bag- for those cry your makeup off or break a nail emergencies that we all have to deal with. In this Hub, I'm going to show you how to create a makeup bag with all of the essential tools for fixing up your makeup- for under 35 dollars.
***This is just the essential stuff, nothing crazy***
THE BAG
This is probably the most fun part of creating a new, cute makeup bag- so get crazy with it, because its what you're going to be showing off to all of your friends when you show them your cute new case!! I adore Targets "Two Piece Floral Cosmetic Bag Set", because it is way cute- and only ten dollars!! (At target.com)
TO READY THE FACE...
- Make sure to keep a powder in your makeup bag. To smooth out your complexion on the go, a simple powder, like "Maybelline's Shine Free Oil-Control Loose Powder" can be found at Walgreens for around $5. Its a good powder, and hey, its only five dollars! (Walgreens.com)
- Keep some kind of oil removing wipes with you. Ever take a picture, and have that awful shine on your face? A box of oil absorbing sheets is all you need to prevent situations like that. Keeping your face clean and fresh is easy with wipes in your bag! CVS sells these oil absorbing sheets for $3.35, which is an amazing deal! (CVS.com)
EYE MAKEUP
- Make sure to have a tube of mascara in your makeup case. If you wear mascara on a daily basis, I think you should want to keep it on you at all times for touch ups. Since its only for that purpose, though, a cheap mascara sold at Walgreens would be perfect for those touch ups. Try using a product like Wet N' Wild's "Mega Protein Washable Nourishing Mascara", which costs around two dollars.
- Keep an eyeshadow in there too. I would use a eyeshadow collection like Wet N' Wild's Color Icon Eyeshadow Collection in Petal Pusher (I chose the color because it contains natural shades like white, grey, brown, and black, while also containing some feminine colors like pinks and purples that add a little color to your eyes). This set is about five dollars at Walgreens, and is easy for any make up fixes you have to make.
- Finally- have an eyelash curler in your bag. I love how different curling my eyelashes makes my makeup look, somehow it just makes peoples eyes look a little bit more "wow". The thing that stinks, though, is that it doesn't last all day. To freshen up your look through out the day, Sally Hansen makes a great eyelash curler for only five dollars. (Try Sally Hansen's Flirty Eyes Classic Eyelash Curler, sold at Walgreens.com for $5.99)
LIP MAKEUP
- A tinted chap stick is perfect for everyday use. My favorite simple lip product is Softlip's pearl tinted lip bomb, because it nourishes your lips the way chap stick does, and at the same time, gives you a bit of color like any other lipgloss would. It's perfect for anyone who is constantly on the go, and its super cheap for such an amazing chapstick. (Try Softlips 2 pack pearl/tint/sunscreen for around three dollars at Target.com)
So, now you've got a complete make up bag- for around thirty five dollars! Feel free to customize your bag the way that you want to, because in all honesty, the make up bag should really reflect the person using it. If you have things that you want- or don't want in your bag, you're always welcome to change things up.
Have fun!!
